WHAT A FUN WAY TO LEARN - Parkinson's disease educational cruise
Friday, May 07, 2010
After the overwhelming success of its first cruise The Parkinson Research Foundation will be launching a second Parkinson's Educational Cruise that will leave Seattle Washington on September 25th, 2010.  This 7-day cruise aboard Norwegian cruise-lines, is designed for Parkinson's disease patients, caregivers and their families, and will provide a series of seminars and lectures about this diseases well as the opportunity to share some of the most amazing views in America.

Parkinson's disease patients are often isolated because of their condition.  We believe that this cruise will provide them with an opportunity to both socialize with others who suffer from the same disease, but also to learn about how to manage the disease once they leave the ship, suggested Larry Hoffheimer, Chairman of the Parkinson Research Foundation.

The program for the cruise will include presentations by prominent Parkinsons disease physicians and clinicians, Dr. Juan Sanchez-Ramos, Dr. Stuart Isaacson, etc.  Patients and their caregivers can also participate in support group meetings, exercise classes and wellness seminars.  For more information, call 1-800-290-0077
